High security laboratory for working with and biobanking of highly infectious material
| ORF TV gaves insight into the unique laboratory infrastructure at BBMRI.at partner Medical University of Graz, which works with pathogens like the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The high security laboratory at the Diagnostic- and Research Institute of Pathology at the Medical University of Graz is unique in Austria. Scientists from the institute are conducting research with pathogens such as the corona virus Sars-Cov-2. In addition to the work with viruses, also autopsies and biobanking of infectious material are performed.
The ORF visited the laboratory for filming, interviewed head of the BSL-3 laboratory Prof. Kurt Zatloukal and gives exciting insights.
